Developer

BuzzMaker seeks a developer to join our team. The developer must have a demonstrated interest in progressive politics, the ability to meet strict deadlines and availability to work off hours from time to time.

Developer will work out of their home as an independent contractor, though, we may consider an employment contract for the right candidate.

Required Skills

  • Experience with site construction and administration using Drupal.
    Understanding of major Drupal architectural concepts including content types, nodes, views, menus, taxonomy and other CMS features.
  • Fluency in basic HTML and some knowledge of CSS.
  • Familiarity with social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter,
    YouTube) and basics of social marketing (embedding, Like buttons,
    etc.)

Desired Skills

  • Expert-level CSS skills and seamless translation of designer-provided creative into standards-compliant code.
  • PHP and MySQL development experience, especially with the Drupal module API and hooks system.
  • Javascript coding experience, especially JQuery.
  • Experience with CRM and e-mail marketing providers such as Salsa, Constant Contact and NGP VAN.
